Acne Treatment 
We are starting to offer Acne treatment including Roaacutane here in Skreen Family Practice. Dr Breslin has recently completed the ICGP Dermatology Certificate and will be prescribing this treatment for those with moderate to severe acne, scarring acne or those who have failed treatment with antibiotics and topical treatment. If you are not a patient of the practice then we will need a referral letter from your GP. 
The costs of treatment are outlined in the fees section. 
Prescription of this drug is mo0re complex than usual medications as it is tightly regulated - It is highly teratogenic and so female patients will need to follow a PPP - pregnancy prevention plan. This will be signed by the patient / guardian before treatment commences and then we need monthly urine pregnancy tests before each script. Scripts can only be issued monthly and there will be reviews every 3 months during treatment.
